7:10 BATTLE OF THE SEXES CONTEST RULES
1. How to Enter the Contest:
a. The 7:10 Battle of the Sexes Contest is held Monday through Friday at approximately 7:10am.
b. To participate in the contest, listen to Majic in the Morning for the call solicit. When you hear it, call the WAJI studios at (260) 467-9500 or 877-951-WAJI. If you are the correct caller, you will have the opportunity to compete against another individual of the opposite sex in a challenge where the woman is asked men questions and the man is asked women’s questions. The individual to get the most correct answers out of 3 questions will win. There is one round played per day. In the event of a tie, a random question will be asked to both players and the individual to correctly answer the question will win.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The contest is open to all WAJI listeners who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the following counties inIndiana: Adams, Allen, Dekalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley. InOhio:Defiance, Paulding and Van Wert counties. Employees of WAJI, Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in theFort Wayne metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win. Immediate family members are parents, in-laws, children, spouses, those in spouse-like relationship, and siblings (including those in step- and half-relationships when living in the same household).
b. Eligible participants can win a Majic in the Morning daily contest only once every thirty (30) days. Only one winner per household is permitted.
3. Prizes:
a. The Daily Prize changes each day. The approximate retail value of these prizes are between $10 and $100.
b. All winners must come to the WAJI studios at 347 West Berry Street, Suite 600, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46802with proper government issued identification to claim the prize and sign a receipt. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within 30 days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. If any prize or prize certificate is forfeited, an alternate winner will not be selected. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and the winner assumes the risk of its arrival; alternate winners will not be selected. WAJI is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.
4. Selection of Winners:
a. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. Each weekday at approximately7:10amMajic in the Morning will solicit for two contestants, one male and one femaleto play the contest. If you are the correct caller, you will have the opportunity to compete against another individual of the opposite sex in a challenge where the woman is asked a man’s question and the man is asked a woman’s question. The individual to get the most correct answers out of 3 questions will win the contest. There is one contest played per day. In the event of a tie, a random question will be asked to both players and the individual to correctly answer the question will win the round.
5. Conditions:
a. Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners will be reported to the IRS on IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner agree to allow their name, voice, and/or likeness to be used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest for a period of one year without additional financial or other compensation.
c. Contest winners are required to sign a Receipt verifying eligibility prior to acceptance of any prize of more than nominal value. Before claiming a prize, contest winners are also required to sign a Liability Release if the prize to be awarded is valued at $600.00 or greater, if the contest or the prize entails dangerous or potentially dangerous activity, or if the prize includes the provision of transportation, whether or not such transportation is provided by WAJI. Pursuant to the Liability Release and Travel Release, the winners will agree to hold WAJI, Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., and the respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
6. These rules are subject to the interpretation of WAJI. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WAJI, and such change(s) will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement.
7. No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.
8. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of WAJI.
9. WAJI is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of any prize.
