Norwell High School shooting guard.
Makenzie Sawyer sophomore point and shooting guard, recently help lead the Norwell Knights to a Sectional and
Regional title. In the regional last week, She scored 6 points vs Northwood in the morning game and 17 in the championship game vs Muncie Central.
Mackenzie averaged 7.3 points per game for the season , shooting 35% from the 3 point line. She is also involved in her high school softball team.
Off the court Mackenzie is involved in Campus Life and 4H.
Angola High School 5’8 junior Guard.
Claire Grubb has been a consistent player and leader on a very young varsity basketball team throughout the season. She has averaged more than 13 points per game and has consistently been the leading scorer. Claire also plays varsity softball.
5th grade Oak View Elementary
Est’e Fath is a young and passionate player that has a bright future in basketball. She has been committed to The Gym Rats and playing since 2nd grade. She currently is the only 5th grade athlete playing on a 6th grade team. This past weekend she was both the individual fundraising champion during the Kids Helping Kids tournament at Spiece Fieldhouse and also winning the 3pt. contest on Saturday night. Her commitment to excellence is evident in the classroom as well and she consistently gets straight A’s on her 5th grade report cards. Remember her name, because you will continue to hear of this amazing young lady!
Senior at East Noble and five year player with Gym Rats.
Houston continues to work hard on is own to be able to reach his goals. One of his goals was to play college basketball which he reached this past Wednesday by signing with IU East out of Richmond, IN. He will be fun to watch at the college level because of his size and offensive skills around the basket and ability to step out and hit jump shots.
Junior at Blackhawk Christian
Joey continues to be a strong role model on and off the court for the younger kids in the Gym Rats program. Joey works hard on his game every day. He is a player that thinks teammate first while also working hard in the classroom and maintains a GPA above 3.78.
As a player he has accomplished these stats this year so far at Blackhawk Christian:

Set school record with 22 rebounds in a single game vs. Canterbury
18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Wayne this season

Sophomore Guard at Fremont HS, Fremont, Indiana
Shae has averaged a double/double scoring 18 points per game 10 rebounds this season. Additionally she is in the top 20 in the regional area for assists.
3.8/per game 2.9 steals.
Shae has demonstrated excellent academics, having an accumulative A average and has lettered and names All Area in Volleyball. She is also on the tennis team. She is active in student counsel and Active in her church.
