Majic in the Morning with Dirk and Angie
Dirk joined Majic in the Morning in September, 2000. Where did THAT decade go?
Oh, yeah: Being happily married, raising three kids, spending weekends in hotels and gyms with TWO daughters who play travel volleyball, picking up Lego pieces after his son scatters them through the house, and trying to break 80, er, uh shoot IN THE 80s in golf.
Dirk was raised in beautiful Upland, IN, where he attended Taylor University and ate all 100 Ivanhoe’s sundaes and shakes before there was a T-shirt reward. He has been active at Pathway Community Church since it started. He enjoys IU basketball, Colts football, and Komet Hockey.
He still believes Fort Wayne should color the pavement of each major road so out-of-towners can find their way around.
Hi, I’m Angie. I’ve been in radio for quite some time, and every day still, I’m so blessed and thrilled to come to ‘work’ at a job that I am still so in love with.
I am a local girl, born and raised in Fort Wayne. My kids even go to the same high school I went to. Go Bruins Basketball!
I love this city and I believe there is no better place in the world. I have three sons, an awesome family and a pretty great boyfriend. I’m not a pet owner, but I am in love with my aunt’s dog, Harlee, and am pretty passionate about animal rights. I’m also passionate about mental health awareness and ADHD and love to share my own story.
I love fashion, reality TV, eating and laughing with my girlfriends. I write a fashion and lifestyle blog, but I don’t update it enough to actually tell you where to find it.
Thanks a ton for reading this and learning more about me. Questions still? Email me angie@waji.com.

Dan Kennedy
Afternoons 3-7/Program Director
Dan Kennedy makes the return trip home to Fort Wayne and has been on Majic 95.1 since this summer. Dan took his radio career to all parts of the Midwest including Columbus Ohio, Pikeville Kentucky, Lafayette Indiana, Lima Ohio and then a four year stint out west in beautiful Flagstaff Arizona before returning home.
Dan is an avid baseball fan (Go Reds) and loves to travel, enjoys live music and long walks on the beach..how did that get in there? Growing up, he originally attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University to study Urban Planning and Design but after one too many math classes, his career path changed as he found his natural love for radio. Quickly becoming a Program Director, one of the youngest in the country, he has won prestigious awards including the Edison 30 Under 30.
Free Time activities? He enjoys being active in his church, writes a blog on a regular basis about branding/marketing and spends time with family and a collector of fine Kentucky Bourbons.
Go New Haven Bulldogs!

I listen to you on my way into work. Your Christmas wish dedication to bing a soldier home this morning was tear jerking but I have to tell you the one yesterday (Thurs) was gut wrenching. Although the conversation probably did not sound ideal for the average listener… this woman was clearly exhausted. And I don’t mean exhausted for working a 10 hour shift. You could hear in her voice she is struggling. Thank you for giving her son the eye exam and glasses. I am sure she is more appreciative that you probably know. Tracy
